Why is #boycottJYPE popular right now?

As international fans, there isn't much we can do concerning the boycott. Despite the worldwide fandom effort, it seems that Jaebum is not much closer to returning and now with the news of Sunmi leaving, many of us feel that enough is enough; we have a voice too. (as of January 26 at 10:57 UTC)
