Why is Remembrance Sunday popular right now?

0
The Sunday closest to November 11th is set aside in Britain for a service of remembrance for those killed in armed conflict, particularly the two World Wars. The royal family and many world representatives will lay flowers on a monument and observe a two-minute silence. (as of November 8 at 10:37 UTC)
